Charge: Distribution of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute - clubhouse caterer accused of selling cocaine to big-league playersCourt: U.S. District Court for the Western District of PennsylvaniaDocket: The Shadow Dugout

Did the caterer sell cocaine to major league players over a four-year period?

The facts

A man who catered food for a big-league clubhouse was charged with 14 counts of distributing cocaine over four years. The government said his access to the clubhouse let him supply star players. Several well-known players testified before a grand jury and at trial, some under immunity. The trial drew more than 90 reporters, and the defense argued the players were the real wrongdoers.
