The Company Had One
Bronston v. United States (1973)

The facts
A man owned a film company that went into bankruptcy. He was questioned under oath. Asked "Do you have any bank accounts in Swiss banks?", he said "No, sir." Asked "Have you ever?", he answered, "The company had an account there for about six months." Both answers were true. But he had also held a personal Swiss account for nearly five years, with more than $180,000 passing through it. He never mentioned it. The lawyer did not press him. He was charged with perjury for a misleading answer.
