Charge: Unpremeditated murder (military court-martial)Court: U.S. Supreme CourtState: South CarolinaDocket: You Have the Right

The facts

A sailor was beaten to death with a pool cue after a dispute over a pool bet. Navy agents questioned another sailor. He waived his rights in writing. After about ninety minutes he said, "Maybe I should talk to a lawyer." Agents asked if he was asking for one. He said, "No, I'm not asking for a lawyer." Questioning went on. His statements were used at trial. He says the agents should have stopped the moment he mentioned a lawyer.

You have the facts the court had. Guilty or not guilty? Call it in the game with your friends, then see what the court actually decided. Wrong call, you drink.
