The facts
A referee in a major professional basketball league worked games for thirteen years. He knew things outsiders did not: which officials were assigned to coming games, how referees got along with team staff, and which players were hurt. For cash, he began giving two gamblers his picks on games, including games he refereed himself. They bet on those picks. The law here asks whether he used secret information from his job to cheat his employer.
You have the facts the court had. Guilty or not guilty? Call it in the game with your friends, then see what the court actually decided. Wrong call, you drink.
