The facts
A big-league pitcher was found dead in a team hotel room during a road trip. The autopsy found fentanyl, oxycodone and alcohol. A team communications employee had visited the pitcher's room the night he died but initially denied any contact. A pill stamped like an oxycodone tablet but laced with fentanyl was found in the room. Prosecutors said the employee had regularly supplied similar pills to several players at the ballpark.
