A Million In Twenties
United States v. Larson (1979)
Charge: Kidnapping for ransom and interstate transportation of the victimCourt: U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth CircuitState: MinnesotaDocket: Ransom
The facts
A banker's wife was seized from her home in a wealthy suburb and driven more than a hundred miles north into the woods. A million dollars in twenty-dollar bills was demanded and paid, and she was found alive. Almost all of the money vanished. Five years later two men were charged. The case against them was circumstantial: a fingerprint on a scrap of paper in the getaway car, a single hair, and eyewitnesses.
You have the facts the court had. Guilty or not guilty? Call it in the game with your friends, then see what the court actually decided. Wrong call, you drink.
