The Four Bombings
United States v. Rudolph (2005)
Charge: Federal bombing offences (four bombings, two deaths)Court: U.S. District Courts, N.D. Alabama and N.D. GeorgiaState: GeorgiaDocket: Blowback
The facts
Over about two years, four bombs went off in two southern states. One exploded in a crowded park during a major international sporting event. Another hit a nightclub. Two more hit family planning clinics. Two people died, one of them a police officer, and more than 150 were injured. Federal investigators named a man from a small mountain town as the bomber. He was eventually caught and charged in federal court in both states with bombing offences. The question is whether he did it.
